“Crawford & Corry’s Flight Simulation Day provided our Year 9 pupils with an engaging and thought-provoking introduction to aviation and the breadth of careers connected to the STEAM industries.

The experience enabled pupils to see how science, technology, engineering, design and business intersect within a real-world professional context. Feedback from a substantial proportion of the year group particularly highlighted the event’s value in broadening pupils’ awareness of future careers and helping them understand how subjects studied at school translate into practical workplace applications.

We are grateful to Crawford & Corry for providing such a memorable and valuable opportunity for our pupils and would warmly welcome the chance to work with them again.”

Sue Osborne, Head of Careers at Gresham’s School

“The airplane simulation was a highly engaging and interactive experience, with students fully immersed and motivated throughout. It effectively developed key employability skills, including communication, teamwork, critical thinking, leadership, data analysis, public speaking, and decision-making under pressure.

We are grateful to the C&C team for delivering such a valuable programme and would strongly encourage other schools to take advantage of this opportunity.”

Moira Davies, Head of Careers and Higher Education at King Edward’s School Witley

“I decided to take part in the Immersive Professional Experiences in Vietnam because I had very little work experience and wanted to strengthen my CV before starting my university applications. I also love travelling, so the opportunity to experience Southeast Asia whilst gaining professional experience really appealed to me.

I had an amazing two weeks in Hanoi, and although I really enjoyed my work placements, one of my favourite parts of the programme was everything organised outside of them. From exploring Ha Long Bay to getting clothes tailored, Crawford & Corry makes sure there is always something to look forward to, and you can make the itinerary as full as you want it to be with activities completely tailored to your preferences!

The programme was incredibly valuable in helping me confirm what I want to study at university and, beyond that, what kind of working environment suits me. Having placements in two very different environments gave me the opportunity to experience different sides of working life and helped me think more clearly about my future. I also developed valuable networking skills. With so many opportunities to meet and speak to new people, I became much more confident approaching people I had never met before and who had very different life experiences to me.

Beyond the professional experiences, spending two weeks away from home gave me a huge sense of independence whilst still having a very strong support network around me! Living and working in Vietnam also gave me the chance to experience a completely different culture and broaden my perspective in ways that I don’t think I could have achieved anywhere else!

If you’re thinking about taking part in the programme, my biggest piece of advice would be don’t afraid to take the opportunity. Even if you’re nervous about going somewhere new or meeting lots of new people, you quickly settle in, and you will come away with experiences and memories that you’ll carry with you forever!”

Maya, Highgate School

“Crawford and Corry provided me with an incredibly valuable work experience placement in Hanoi, whilst fully supporting me from the moment I arrived in Vietnam to the moment I left.

During my time in the city, I worked on real projects alongside finance professionals, giving me genuine insight into how financial decisions are made in practice. My favourite part of the programme was being trusted to develop and add to the projects too by my colleagues. I also found the networking opportunities particularly rewarding, as meeting experienced professionals and learning about their career journeys greatly improved my understanding of the finance industry. The experience helped significantly strengthen my interest in finance and economics, while also helping me develop essential skills such as professional communication, and, more broadly speaking, my maturity and independence.

In addition, I undertook the Global Banking and Markets Masterclass prior to the work experience. I found this very beneficial because it helped me not only with parts of my Economics A Level course at school, but also bridged the gap between economics and a career in finance. I found the sessions on financial crises very interesting to learn about for the first time, as well as the sessions on networking and CV work extremely useful.

Overall, I could not recommend C&C highly enough. The opportunities they provide are incredibly worthwhile and I would like to thank Luke in particular for taking such good care of me throughout my time in Vietnam.”

Emrys, St Paul’s School

“I went into the masterclass curious about finance but unsure if it was really for me, especially since I had never studied economics. What stood out immediately was how clearly everything was explained, broken down to ensure it was easy to understand, even without any prior knowledge.

The course gave me a much clearer picture of how the industry works and what employers are looking for, enabling me to better position myself for opportunities. One aspect I found particularly valuable was the focus on developing the confidence to engage with the industry, making networking and reaching out to professionals feel much more accessible.

Overall, what started as a general interest has now cemented into a genuine career ambition. I feel far more informed and prepared to pursue a career in the field.”

Abigail, Downe House School

“I spent 3-4 weeks in Hanoi, completing work experience in two vastly different fields, being chemistry and fashion design. With the trip having a huge transformative effect on my life. Ultimately helping me decide my university degree.

My favourite part with Crawford and Corry was definitely getting the opportunity to meet a huge array of experts in different fields to help build an idea of my future as well as help me decide between subjects and universities to apply to. I also really enjoyed my time at fashion photo shoots, getting the opportunity to see all the work put into a collection come together was very special, especially having worked on some of the pieces myself was amazing.

My trip had a huge impact on me, before coming I was completely torn on what subject I wanted to take at university, but after working in both chemistry and fashion, I have to come to a very firm decision of fashion. This was definitely the biggest factor in my decision, getting to have a glimpse into what my future work could look like really helped me decide.

The only part I regret is not being able to do it for longer!”

Gal, Highgate School

“I thoroughly enjoyed the Global Banking & Finance Masterclass. It gave me a much clearer understanding of the finance industry and global markets than I could have gained on my own. Even though the participants were at varying experience levels, Luke, the course leader, ensured everyone felt supported and included.

The discussions and group activities, particularly the hedge fund simulation, helped boost my confidence. The guidance on CVs and LinkedIn profiles was exceptional, providing practical advice on how to effectively position ourselves in the industry. I now feel far more equipped and clear about my next steps.

I highly recommend this programme to anyone looking to break into or expand their knowledge of the financial sector.”

Joshika, Cheltenham Ladies’ College

“My son found the Global Banking & Markets Masterclass to be an exceptionally valuable experience. The sessions were well‑structured, engaging, and provided him with a much deeper understanding of Finance and Economics. Luke, the course director, is very inspirational and the students enjoy his teaching style - he is very clear, but also caring and gets to know each student individually.

The programme has influenced my son’s academic direction too. As a parent, I have been pleased by the clarity this masterclass has given him, and we are very appreciative of this opportunity our son has been given.”

Sonia, Parent, St Paul’s School

“The Global Banking & Markets Masterclass was extremely insightful. It gave me a much clearer understanding of how financial markets function and how professionals think about macro trends and asset classes.

I particularly valued the practical aspect and programme's emphasis on applying concepts to real-world scenarios, which made the learning more engaging and intellectual than typical classroom study. The experience has definitely reinforced and expanded my interest in finance and global markets.”

Alex, Dulwich College

“I am undergoing a significant career pivot, and C&C did not blink at the challenge. They guided me through how I should develop my resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn - helping me to craft a persuasive and cohesive narrative that made the pivot seem natural and made me an attractive candidate!

The most impressive thing about our experience is that they sat with me over video call as I edited my application materials in real-time, without Chat GPT, answering questions and communicating how every edit would contribute to my recruitment strategy.

They also provided clear and actionable advice on networking with bulge bracket and boutique firms, answering my questions and making me feel prepared to reach out to professionals.

If you are considering entering finance, C&C is your one-stop shop for getting the job!“

Kenneth, The University of California, Berkeley

“C&C provided me with both work experience in Vietnam, and the Global Banking and Markets masterclass.

My favourite part of the Vietnam experience was the networking and social opportunities you provided, both with the BUV students who I enjoyed meeting and the professional networking like the British Chamber of Commerce meeting.

The experience has helped me to better understand the office environment and some of the particulars of a back office role such as market research.
I would highly recommend this to anyone considering doing the programme as the experiences and opportunities it offers well outweigh the downsides of going out of one's comfort zone.

As for the GBM course, the part of the programme most useful was the professional insight into how one can break into finance and how someone in education ought to act should they want to.

It has helped me in that I know much more about the skills that go into having a career in finance, and how I ought to prepare for one if I decide to. The education about the workings and history of financial markets was also very thought provoking and interesting.

I would say that the fee, and time spent doing the programme, is paid back well by the experience, insight, and networking opportunities gained through membership of it.”

Henry, St Paul’s School, London

“I really enjoyed the Global Corporate Law Masterclass and found it a very engaging introduction to corporate law concepts. The sessions were particularly useful in breaking down complex legal ideas into practical, real-world examples, which made the subject much more accessible and understandable.

It also gave me a clearer understanding of what a career in law might involve and has helped strengthen my interest in the field going forward. Prior to the course, I was primarily focused on pursuing disputes and litigation, however the masterclass broadened my perspective and introduced me more positively to the corporate side of law, an area I had previously been less interested in, particularly banking and finance.”

Luke, Elizabeth College

“Clear and helpful preparation guidance even before our session. During the mock interview, C&C was incredibly targeted, detailed, and patient, always taking the time to explain the rationale behind their suggestions. They also did high-level but insightful research into the company and industry I’m interviewing in, which added real value to the session.

One thing that stood out was how they tailored my responses to strike the right tone — confident yet humble — and made sure I didn’t say anything that could land me in trouble during the real interview. They were very generous with their time and advice, and I genuinely found the session both helpful and reassuring.

Highly recommended!”

Marie, London School of Economics

Overall, it has strengthened my interest in studying law further.”

“Crawford and Corry’s Global Markets and Banking Masterclass has provided me with a much deeper insight into the financial industry and introduced me to career opportunities I had never previously considered. Coming into the programme with no prior experience, I found the sessions engaging, accessible, and very insightful. Looking back on this experience, I feel that I have now gained the confidence to involve myself in discussions surrounding finance and global markets, despite having little knowledge at the start.

Across the 8 sessions, the programme covered many aspects of the industry, from market drivers to networking, CV preparation, and interview skills. Hearing directly from a professional made the experience especially inspiring and practical.

Overall, the masterclass broadened my understanding of global markets and banking and strengthened my interest in pursuing a future career in this industry. I would highly recommend it to any student interested in the financial sector, regardless of prior experience.”

Personally, it has confirmed that I would like to work in finance. Plus, the networking opportunities seem great post-completion.”

I feel more confident in discussing finance and have a better idea of the areas I would like to explore further as a potential career.”

“The GBM programme has been a fantastic experience that has deepened my passion for economics and finance, and sharpened the skills I'm building as I look to pursue a career in the industry.

It has further ignited my passion for investment banking and solidified my choice to follow a career path in investment banking.

100% go for it. By far the most useful course I could recommend for someone interested in investment banking.

Joe, Rugby School

“The Global Corporate Law Masterclass has hugely increased my understanding, especially of concepts which I had heard used before, but did not know their true meaning or application. My interest was already high at the start but this largely consolidated my preference towards corporate law rather than criminal.

Definitely do it, it covers all aspects of the subject but still to a deep level without being overly technical or dry. It is especially helpful for future advice on how to appeal to employers and universities, even if you are not sure about which course or career.”

Ollie, St Paul’s School

“The Global Banking & Markets Masterclass has strengthened my familiarity with what careers in finance look like, the skills which are valued in the industry and what movements in bond-markets can insinuate for commodities. It is a very insightful, detailed and high-quality experience for someone with an interest in banking, who is looking to explore more about what working in the sector entails and how to best improve your ability to land a job there.

Honestly, thank you for such a high-quality experience, I really found Luke’s expertise and knowledge came across in the sessions we had, and I appreciated it very much!

Also, I learnt a lot about how financial markets operate, current trends in the industry and the skills needed for a successful career in finance. I particularly appreciated the opportunity to learn from professionals with real industry experience and ask questions about careers and university choices.

The programme was both informative and enjoyable, and it helped strengthen my interest in pursuing a career in the financial sector. It is a worthwhile experience and I would highly recommend it to any student looking to develop their understanding of banking, markets and finance.”

Sophia, Epsom College

Chloe, Columbia University

“My two weeks in Hanoi working as an intern at an art gallery was a really valuable experience, particularly as a recent university graduate figuring out what direction I want to take my career in. It gave me the opportunity to gain hands-on experience within the art world and get a better understanding of what working in the creative industry could look like.

The C&C team were incredibly supportive throughout the whole experience, always going above and beyond to make sure I was doing well and getting the most out of my internship. They were always there if I had any questions or needed help, and made the whole experience feel really welcoming and enjoyable. They also took me out for some amazing food and made sure I got to experience more of Hanoi outside of the internship.

I’m really grateful to C&C for organising such a great opportunity and for all their support throughout my two weeks in Hanoi. It was an experience I really enjoyed and will definitely remember.”

It has also made me more interested in pursuing a career in finance. I would definitely recommend it, as it gives you a clear and practical introduction to investment banking and helps you understand what a career in the industry is really like.
