Engineering is one of the world's most consequential professions - yet for students considering it, understanding what engineers actually do can be surprisingly difficult.
Which discipline is right for you? What does an engineer's work look like beyond the classroom? And what does it take to design, analyse, and make decisions about systems that affect millions of people?
This Masterclass offers an immersive introduction to the discipline and practice of engineering.
Led by engineers educated at the University of Oxford with experience spanning aviation, infrastructure, energy, data science, and engineering research, the programme takes students beyond the textbook and into the way engineers actually think.
No convoluted mathematics or passive lectures. Just a rigorous, accessible introduction to the discipline, designed to help students discover whether engineering is right for them.

COURSE DIRECTORS
Ethan
Ethan completed his undergraduate and master’s degrees in Engineering at the University of Oxford, specialising in aerospace engineering. Following Oxford, he joined Singapore Airlines, where he worked as an engineer before transitioning into data science. He is now a Senior Data Scientist at Singapore Airlines, working on predictive maintenance and flight-data analytics across its fleet.
Sylvester
Sylvester completed his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Oxford, graduating with First Class honours and ranking 10th in his cohort. He subsequently completed a master’s degree in Civil Engineering at Stanford University, specialising in sustainable design and construction. He is now an Engineer at PUB, Singapore’s national water agency, where he manages major civil infrastructure projects, leading teams of consultants and contractors across project management, design, construction, costing, and stakeholder engagement.

Places are strictly limited to 10 students per cohort to ensure a highly interactive experience and personalised feedback.
